Last June I had the opportunity to dine at the Sushi Central’s Khalidiya location. Then this past weekend, I tried out their new Al Mina location.
I found this new location to be just as fabulous as the original. The service was impeccable. In fact, one server remembered me from my visit at the Khalidiya branch! She commented on how my hair has gotten longer. The restaurant atmosphere is nice and it was fairly quiet, so maybe we came at a slow time or perhaps the word hasn’t gotten out yet about this new spot.
My fiancé, Clark, and I always struggle at trying to decide what to order at a sushi restaurant. We never know how many rolls to get or which rolls would be best. However, our server was great about offering advice. We ended up getting the beef gyoza as a starter. I absolutely love the steamed gyoza. Then we followed it up with three different kinds of rolls; the Mermaid California, Ocean black tiger, and Salmon avocado and an order of chicken yakitori (3 skewers).
The ocean black tiger (prawn) roll was a favorite for both Clark and me, but all of the food was very tasty. For dessert, we shared a slice of blueberry cheesecake, which was much tastier than anticipated.
Sushi Central has started a delivery service for various parts of Abu Dhabi. Now if only they could deliver to Al Ain…. hmm…. well, in the meantime, it was well worth the drive. If you are in a need for a sushi fix, I highly recommend Sushi Central.
